Kuching Declaration 2018
We, the signatories of this declaration do hereby support the formation of the ASEAN WOUND COUNCIL from the 10 member countries in the spirit and framework of the ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH EAST ASIAN NATIONS (ASEAN).
This new council will be the embodiment of members from the 10 countries who are involved in the management of wounds.
This declaration spells out 10 main points which we support wholeheartedly:
- Collaboration and cooperation between all council members who represent their respective countries
- Support education throughout the region
- Foster great friendship and sharing of experience through various activities
- Trainings to be conducted in a multidisciplinary approach
- Yearly meetings of the council to plan activities throughout ASEAN
- Improve management of wounds with sufficient knowledge and experience
- Support each other
- Collection of data with more multi country studies and registries
- Increase publications among member countries in the field of wound management
- Bring together doctors, paramedics, pharmacists and other wound care professionals to manage wounds
We hope this collaboration will benefit our patients and the caregivers as well as the wound care professionals in ASEAN.
