With the aid of MSWCP, Dr Theodoro Herbosa, the Undersecretary of Health of the National Capital Region (NCR) and Southern Luzon Cluster, received RM30,000.00 worth of kits from Malaysia.
The president of MSWCP, Dr, Harikrishna K.R. Nair personally flew in the advanced wound care dressing materials from KROMH and Derma Sciences worth USD 50,000.00 to the Philippines in hope that these solicitous assistance will provide the victims with the health care interventions they require.
The gratifying and timely support by the MSWCP to the Philippines in their time of need caught the attention of the Ambassador of Philippines in Malaysia, Jose E. Eduardo Malaysa III, who awared the society with a certificate of gratitude for their altruism.
CONTRIBUTION OF HAND SANITIZERS
Malaysia Society of Wound Care Professionals (MSWCP) lent a helping hand by contributing Alcohol Hand Rubs to the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC), Putrajaya.
The Head of CPRC, Dr Maznieda thanked Dr Harikrishna for the assistance and explained that the hand rubs will be distributed to the affected flood states, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang.

DIABETES PUBLICATION IN INDIA
In 2014, Dr Harikrishna contributed to the ASEAN PLUS GUIDELINES: Management of Diabetic Wounds Booklet, which was incidentally the first ASEAN Clinical Practice Guideline in managing diabetic wounds.
Dr Hari’s chapter on wound care has been published in “A Practical Guide ti Diabetes Mellitus, 7th Edition”. This publication is planned by the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism if Christin Medical College, Vellore, India.
